Gather 'round the computer, kids, because it's time once again to revisit that tried-and-true Man Rule, Don't Make Fun of the Way Somebody Looks.
Last time we talked about this Rule, we were explaining how wrong it would be to compare CBS play-by-play announcer Verne Lundquist to the Sta-Puft Marshmallow Man. I hope you never do that.
Tonight I'm going to pull out one that's not very original, so I apologize in advance for that. You've probably seen this comparison on other Websites, but that doesn't mean it's acceptable. As a Man, you should rise above these petty temptations.
Just because ESPN analyst and World Spittle Champion Lou Holtz:
is the spitting image (sorry, couldn't resist) of Granny from The Beverly Hillbillies:
doesn't mean you should bring that up, or even float the idea that Lou actually played Granny in a few episodes when the actress was out with the rheumatiz.
Even I, as a rabid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, who just defeated Notre Dame 42-14 for the national championship in college football, will not lower myself to say Lou looks like Granny. Even though Lou DID predict a 24-10 Notre Dame win before the game.
Sorry to burst your bubble, Granny.
